A combo poster for both the modern and ballet wings of the Arvada Center Dance Academy. I love working with organizations that serve kids and teens. Making something that students think is cool and exciting is something I have a lot of fun with and take a lot of pride in.

A common ad situation for a place that does so much in its facility is to combine ads, which presents a lot of challenges, mostly fairly representing vastly different things. I’m very pleased to say I’ve developed an eye for striking a balance in these formats. Also of note is the logo for Black In Denver, which was designed by me.
Integrating text into photos is something I love to do: it gives them both so much dimension and an extra layer of meaning. For this social post, Truth Treatment Systems wanted an eye catching visual that they could then elaborate on in the caption.

At the beginning of the pandemic the Arvada Center had to shut its doors to the public like every other performing arts space and organization. Striking a tone of caring solidarity was the main goal of this piece for the Arvada Report.
A poster for a recurring afternoon jazz set at a small Denver cafe. I’m a jazz musician myself, and I adore the old album covers of Blue Note Records cuts. Getting to channel that is always a treat and an aspiration.

An incredibly detailed menu in a tight space, this piece is a good example of taking a brand’s established visual identity and adapting it to challenging situations.

A general purpose ad for the Arvada Center’s many programs and offerings. We had been playing around with stacked squares, and I thought to bring it into 3D space. Those are fully rendered three dimensional cubes, brought into Photoshop where I had edited all the images contained in each one, including the variable lighting and fragmentations.
An example of deceptive grid implementation and expansion. The two ceramics pieces were from separate photos, each with different colored backgrounds, so sitting them together was a challenge as well.
Full album packaging, including silver disc design, booklet, and album cover art. The red stripes on the cover are the scanned film roll of the Holga 120 toy camera the photographer used for a band photoshoot.

This art was a commission to composite three separate images together, taken at different times, in different places, at different angles. The four women are actually from two different dusk photos from a photographer. The street shot is from an iPhone that the lead violinist took. I had to find a way to add everyone together in a way that appeared natural. I also designed the text mark.
Tooting my own horn for a jazz gig at my favorite local spot, I dug into the vintage vibes here. The typeface is a 70s classic from Herb Lublin, brought to full realization with the vintage ad for hooch as a background.
